Sierra Gold Soccer Club is currently looking for new referees, adults as well as youths, for the upcoming season, which starts in August. Cost of the Referee Education course for first-time Sierra Gold referees is $50, which is fully covered by Sierra Gold Soccer Club.  The cost to you is $0.
*If you are recently certified, and have not been contacted by the Sierra Gold Referee Manager, you should send an e-mail to the address mentioned above and at the bottom of this page.

To become a Referee you must:
       1)  Be a minimum of 12 years of age, and in at least 7th grade.
       2)  You must take the Referee Course-listed below- and pass (80%) on a 50 question entry level examination.   Test material is available online.  Test is administered online
       3)  After passing the online test you must attend all referee classses and Field Sessions that are part of the USSF Referee Course.
       4)  You must be willing to study the "Laws of the Game" outside of the class.   
Prior knowledge of Soccer is useful, but not necessary.

Returning Referees:
1.  Let us know you plan to referee this year.  Just drop an e-mail to the Referee Coordinator
2.  Sign up for a referee refresher course
3.  Don't forget to renew your license!  If you do not renew your license every year, you will have to take the test again.  Renewals are now $50 and must be submitted by June 30th, either online or by US Mail.

To Renew Your License:
1. Follow these instructions to renew your license online:     CNRA Referee Recertification

2. Alternatively, if you were sent a renewal notice, just send that with the $50 fee to the CRNA. 

3. When you receive your new badge then leave a photocopy of your license in the Referee Manager's box in the Herbert Green Shed.
