2012 Fall Registration for Recreational Soccer is currently under way!

Consult the dates on the Registration page to see where & when to go ...

You will receive a call from your player's coach during the last week of July.

Practices will begin the first week of August.

2012 games for U6 thru U10 teams begin on Saturday August 18th, then August 25th, then a break over Labor Day weekend, and restarts the following weekend September 8th until the end of the season for a total of 10 games.

2012 games for U12 thru U19 begin on Saturday September 8th, and continue for a total of 10 games.

The SGSC provides Recreation Play and Select Level Play to boys and girls ages 5 to 18.  We are a volunteer driven 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing playing opportunities to more than 800 children each year, in the greater Placerville CA area.

Coaches!
We need coaches!  Why not have fun and make a difference in your child's life by volunteering your time and coaching his/her team?  We will provide you FREE training!  Do you want to apply to coach or assistant coach a Recreational Soccer Team?  Click HERE! (this year, you must apply on-line)
Referees
We referees, especially adult referees.  If we don't have referees then the kids can't play!  Become a referee and be paid to enjoy the great outdoors while enabling kids to play.  We provide FREE training for both adults and youth ages 12 years and older.  Returning referees should let us know you plan to return, take the refresher course, and renew your license.  Click HERE for more information.

Select Team Tryouts
Tryouts are complete.  Please contact the Select Coordinator if you missed tryouts and want to know if there are any openings on a team.
2011 District VI Cup Challenge Champions
Congratulations to the U19 Girls Sierra Gold Wildcats for being the first Sierra Gold team to win the District VI Cup Challenge.  Their team name will be engraved on the perpetual trophy (listing all prior year champions) as a record of being designated the best 2011 U19 Girls Select team in District VI!  .... Next Board Meeting
The SGSC Board of Directors will meet on May 24th at 7pm at the El Dorado County Office of Education, Room B2.  Meetings are normally the 4th Thursday of the month.  Parents are encouraged to become an active participant in Placerville area youth soccer, by attending board meetings.  For more information on how you can help, visit the Get Involved web page.

Thank You Coaches & Volunteers
Thank you for volunteering your time for the kids. With out you, the kids can't play and learn about life through the game of soccer.

I hope your experience was positive, and you will apply to coach again next year.

Be sure to look for and attend our coach training sessions next year in late August. The sessions will give you tools that will make your job easier, more fun, and more productive.
