Updated date: Friday, September 19, 2014 10:26 PM

Sierra Gold Soccer Club is concerned for all of our families that are affected by the King Fire.  Please stay safe.

Soccer is second to the serious nature of the impact of this fire.

As for practices, each field and time are going to be affected differently.  The Coach should make the determination about their individual practices.  We, SGSC, will not be "cancelling" practices.  If Schools are closed, then it's obvious that the teams cannot meet there, but all Coaches could possibly use this time they have with their team for an indoor meeting, or something of that nature.

Smoke & Heat Policy

Outdoor practices are cancelled by Coaches when air quality is not Moderate or Good or while we have extreme temperatures.  Coaches may decide to still meet with their teams at an indoor location.  If air quality is moderate or good, consider early AM practices to avoid extreme heat.  Please click here for an explanation of our recommendation, and how to monitor current up-to-the-hour air quality in the central California area.

Our final fingerprint event will be held this Saturday, 9/20 at Round Table on Missouri Flat from 5:00-6:30.

If you are needing fingerprinting for our club, be sure to complete the online risk management application by following the link below.  Print the "receipts" at the end and bring the Capital Live Scan form with you to be fingerprinted, along with a valid photo ID.  There is no cost to you, if you attend this final event.

New Coaches
Fingerprinting is specific per organization - even if you are fingerprinted for a different group, you need to be fingerprinted again with us - just once is enough-unless it's been a few years since you've coached.  Any parents that will be interfacing with the players on the field need to complete the online adult risk management registration, follow this link At the end of the online registration, you need to print out the "receipt/forms". The form that will be printed is the new request for live scan form with prepopulated fields. All the adult will need to fill out on the form are the fields that do not collect in the  system (e.g. eye color, hair color, etc...).

With the new form printed out, you can go to an approved Capital Live Scan vendor. Please note, Capital Live Scan has increased the number of vendors in their network. They may now have a vendor in your area that will process the results according to the required procedure (see map of all approved vendors in your area If there still isn't a vendor conveniently located in your area, you can still go to a non-approved vendor, but please make sure to provide them with the additional information that prints out when you register online and print out the receipt/forms.
Reminder: You MUST register online and you MUST print out the forms and bring the Livescan request with you

We need referees, especially adult referees.  If we don't have referees then the kids can't play!  Become a referee and be paid to enjoy the great outdoors while enabling kids to play.  We provide FREE training for both adults and youth ages 12 years and older.  Returning referees should let us know you plan to return, take the refresher course, and renew your license.  Click Here for more information.
